Drives that are hard and separate

hi,

Does anyone know, when you have two separate harddrives, which is better; installing Cake on the system drive or on the second drive, which is exclusively for audio (the one on which I record)? I'm getting confused, since different people tell me different things. Opinions please, thanks.

my setup has my o/s & sonar living on my IDE system drive, and a dedicated scsi3 uw hard drive just for sonar audio. At a given time I have about a dozen large audio projects living together on that disk without much in the way of problems.

All the advice I have seen agrees with heinz. Use your audio drive just for your .wav files. Everything else goes on the system drive.
