Question about reinstalling/updating drivers on a Windows XP box. Most instructions say uninstall the old drivers and then install the drivers. After the uninstallation, the OS asks if I want to reboot for the changes to take effect. Do I want to reboot at this point or not? Should I install the new drivers and then reboot?

reboot....win will find new hardware and ask for the drivers.

In this case, the driver installation is an .exe. It's for my Mia Midi soundcard. The instructions told me to install the drivers before I plug the PCI card in. That way when Windows boots up, it will find the drivers. So I don't want to run into the situation I've had with 98 and ME where when I reboot, Windows detects new hardware and installs generic drivers. And I don't really feel like removing the PCI card.
