XP user and I have a Digi 001 I'm running 6.4 LE on . Yeah, I know. hah. Had it for about a month, got it installed and (sort of) configured after much cursing (came with no documentation). Got 6.4cs9 from digidesign's website, also installed the latest ilok driver and the digi MME helper. I have no problems whatsoever with PTLE. It recognizes the 001 and the ilok, I can record and play back audio and I have my MPC synced. cool.
Here's the problem. When I go to sounds and audio devices, the 001 is recognized as my default playback device and midi device, but not my default recording device. It's just not there. It's the same in FL, Audition, and Cubase. In device settings it's set as my output device but I have no input device. I can play back and listen to all of my projects but I can't record anything. I've posted this on two other forums and I always get "I used to have the same setup but I've never had that problem. try reinstalling your drivers. see if the driver for your old sound card is properly uninstalled. good luck."
I've uninstalled and reinstalled PT and my wave/asio drivers several times now, I have my old sound card removed and the driver uninstalled. there are no conflicting drivers. everything is supposed to be working properly. I've meticulously gone through the PDF files on the digidesign website for proper system configuration. nothing.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

it's been almost a month and everything is just sitting and collecting dust. still haven't talked to anyone who has shed any light. am I the last person on earth still using a 001? I have heard of people recording into audition and cubase with theirs. so..........?????? kinda frustrating because I traded my analog mixer for it...stupid I know. so I have no other input source, even if I were to use my onboard sound card in parallel i'd have no phantom power for my condensers. so the only program I can fully use is pro tools and I still suck at it, so my work has come to a complete standstill

Sorry Bud:
I have nothing to offer other than delete the drivers and restart.
You may also want to try driver updates but I've never tried your gear.

Edit: Just remembered. I had a similar problem with Cubase one time. Turned out that one of the pins on the Dongle was bent.
May be worth your while to check the plugs on your cable. It is a PCI device, right?

nope. dongle is fine and all the cables are connected pretty solid. I'm probably gonna sell/give away/burn the 001. thought it would be a cheap way to see wether or not I like protools and maybe learn some basics before dropping a grand or more on a 002 or 003 w/8.0. lol. learned my lesson, guess I'll get the new shit.
