First thing, this is amusicians forum, not karoke.
Second, if you are serious, put some harmonies in there.

OK, Sorry, that was a little harsh.
I listened again. Vocals are good, backing track isn't the best quality soundwise though. That could be the Soundcloud posting though. The only thing I would say constructively is that the vocals are kind of sitting on top of the track, not completely blended together. I would cut the mid's somewhat and give a boost at the bottom. Slightly stronger compression might make it sit a little better too.

I would also encourage you to try adding some harmony. It will pull the whole thing together a little more.

Thanks a lot. I'll give that a go

I posted on your 1st Mix of this in another thread.
This one is sounding a bit better if I can remember correctly. But the vocals are too loud, you want to compress more, maybe cutting some low mids if needed after turning the volume down and compressing. The high mids are a tad distorted so bring them down a little, it sounds like maybe a mic problem.

The singing is good, but just not in tune enough. Some of it is right on but a lot of it is still out of tune unftunately. Your vocal style is quite similar to Brandon Boyd so good one for that.
How did you get the Instrumental Mix for this song? The Cellos are missing in this Mix. :( The Instrumental Mix sounds of bad MP3 quality, maybe around 128kbps. If you have the Instrumental Mix at a higher bit rate then use that.

Keep at it you are not far off.

Ahh I know why the Instrumental sounds crappy, it's because it has been turned into a mono Mix. :) Use the stereo Mix if you have it.

I listened to your other song "Rain". I like this song, is this an original or did you use an Instrumental Mix and sing over it?

It will rain is not an original. It was originally performed by Bruno mars. Where would I find the stereo mix of it?

Here is another attempt I tried to incorporate all of ur guys suggestions. Let me know what it needs. If you do hear pitch issue I am missing then soundcloud has unique feature that allows you to comment on the exact spot where you hear the issue so anyone who would be so kind, it would be much appreciated. All your constructive feedback is welcome Ty.

Wow
I am really impressed. The changes are subtle, but you really made some great tweeks. The harmonies blew me away. Blended just right, not overwhelming. I don't know what to say. The only complaint (which is not you) is the quality of the backing track.

I'm not sure if you are into writing at all, but I'd suggest checking out Music collaboration, share music tracks, Pro Tools, GarageBand, Sonar, remix, share beats - Kompoz.com Musicians worldwide collaborate and write some pretty aming stuff.
Again, I apologise for my first post.

Your vocals could use a little more low end. And they're too prominent in the mix. It sounds like you're straining to to hit some of those notes and sometimes it seems like you're not even trying. So, more practice on your range and note prediction. Either that or learn how to use Autotune. And I say that last part as a joke only.

Ooops! I didn't see that you updated this post with a new mix. You should edit your original post with the new mix under the old one.

The new mix is MUCH better. There are still a few pitch problems but overall, it's a vast improvement. The vocals sound like they belong in the song and your harmonies are pretty good. With just a little more work on your pitch, this will be close to perfect. Good job. Keep it up.

The new Mix is a much better vocal volume! I would still bring the vocal down a touch, maybe 1.5dB. The backing vocals are good volume in relationship with the main vocal most of the time.
The tuning is much better, there are still a few mistakes here and there which I will point out on your Soundcloud track.

The EQ is still a tad high mid rangey, cut a little bit more, but no by much.

I posted on about 1/3 of the song where there are vocal mistakes. I didn't want to go through the whole song, I'm sure you will spot the rest of the mistakes now that I have mentioned the others.

Look forward to a new recording and Mix. Maybe try a different mic with less high mids.
