I'd be really happy with a ProTools setup with 64 faders...and the whole caboodle

Pro Tood's HD system....

Pro Control 24 console...

8 Channels of Apogee converters

Focusrite ISA 430 Pre... (had one but sold it)

Neumann U47

Decent amp to power my favorite monitors.. (NS-10's);)

Current EMU sampler

Masterlist CD (Digi mastering program)

Some Vintage LinnDrum Drum machines

All put into an old church freshly renovated and properly treated

Give me Flyte Tyme Studios, Toni Braxton and a DO NOT DISTURB sign. :D

Eight Avalon 737's, a Harrison console, a pair of Elam-251's and I'm seriously looking into either an old church or an industrial building.

we have some big dreamers here....i'd be happy with a Mackie 1642, mxl v67, some 603's, akg d12, delta 1010 and mega comp...

oh, and Sonar 2

and someone to show me how to use this stuff well....

Cool Idea the church thing. Just get yourself ordained and you will be tax exempt. Not to mention a tidy little extra money every sunday morning.

All I want is a well tuned room and a separate control room!

Yeah, exactly what Vox said. Protools HD and Pro Control 24 with 64 faders...and hell, the surround sound thing.

Give me grace pre, neve pre, api pre...

u87, u47, earthworks omnis...some genelecs..

i'd be set for a long time.

I'd like a DW drumset...and some Paiste stuff.

my dream studio is the 'place' and not so much the equipment...but of course...good equipment too! ya know...like 500 acres surrounding the open air studio room......etc., etc.

I already have my dream recording setup.

8-tracks to the left of me,
8-tracks to the right of me,
24-tracks in front of me,
4-tracks behind me.
Mixers, mixers, rah rah rah.
Every instrument I could possibly need,
and then some. Gear? I've got gear.
I've got gear jam packed in my recording room,
and just as much stuff stacked in the garage.

See previous thread, about "gear junkies"./DA

I've spent three years putting together my little songwriter project studio. It's nothing special, but it's already better than I deserve. I'm just happy to have decent equipment. Now, as sonusman might interject, I just have to continue learning how to use it...and I have miles to go before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep.

I got no bitch about my gear,I too got a ways before I am able to use it to its potentual. What I would like would be a good room for tracking.I live in an efficiency appt which is fine when I am recording myself but I would like a place to record bands.I can rent a decent place for very cheap($20 night)but it can be tough to get a night as quite a few bands book space there.I like the idea of an old church. In my town the old town hall is styled like a church and its going to be empty soon. They are talking about renting space but most of the rentals available around here are not drum friendly.

I'm flattered

Well, you described my current setup pretty much (2 Mackie 1202's, V67, Sonar 1.3, Delta 1010, etc). You can do a lot with that stuff - I guess I'm pretty lucky...
Drop me a personal message if you have questions...

I have what I've been dreaming about for a coupla years. 1604 vlz pro, some mics, and an 8 channel sound card and a fast computer. Now I want a drumset and some clearer mics(anything not like my se1000 which is oh so harsh).
