What’s up guys-I’, back with more issues-I have an asus board w/pent chipset,p4 2.4,1gig of ram, motu 2408 mkII sound card(pc-324) and running xp, downloaded the drivers for the sound card and my audio sounds low and choppy and on top of that I have a mpc 2000xl w/ an external zip drive that just stop working – my mpc no longer see’s the zip drive-one minute it was fine and when I tried to load some more sequences it went poooooff! But my floppy still works- and oh could this be happening because I have a cracked version??

Guy’s what am I doing wrong- what is happening to my studio

HELP!!!

You naughty boy ! Cracks are for kids.
And sometimes they crack your system.
Troubleshoot your ZIP thru device manager or problem devices in system tools. Is this USB ?
 
just put back in the WinXP disk and boot to it (if it still works and remember to set the BIOS to look for the boot sector from the CD) and do a Windows repair. I had to do that a lot when I was trying out Xp. Also when it comes back up. Set a System restore point. Be careful about the Windows Updates . Get all of them up until Service Pack One. (there is something about that one that can kill your system with a cracked version.)
 
I have seen crazy stuff like this happen with bad harddrives. Could that be a problem?

I could tell you have to get past the service pack one stuff, but I agree that you should buy it.

Although you should buy your software, it's possible to get VERY good cracks

Ok! So I’ll buy the software, that’s too easy-so my problems go away ? yes / no
And then my MPC not reading my external zip drive – how likely is it that my zip has hit the dust ? just like that – and yes I did download the drivers from the MOTU web site –that’s what so mind boggling the original drivers don’t work with XP so I downloaded them for XP and my audio sounds low and choppy – like the needle is skipping on a record –oh I’ll be getting SONAR I like cakewalk(smile)
