I´m working with an imported wav file from fruity loops, every time I drag left or right it doesn´t matter, SONAR takes time to show the new location. The same happens if I split it. Do you know why this occurs???.
My pc is ok, I have Intel Pentium IV 2.6 60GB HD, 512 RAM, GFORCE 64RAM video card.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks

I'm blaiming the video card.

Does it happen to all imported wavs or just the ones from FL?

This only happens with the wav file imported from FL, I checked properties and the enable looping function was selected , I never do that. I think this function is making SONAR work too slow when I try to move or split this wav file. The other wavs doesn´t have the same behavior, I can split or move them without problems.
If I uncheck the enable looping box the wav file is restored  The parts I cut are shown again. Kinda weird don´t you think???.
To solve the problem I bounced to track the fruityloops wav and now I´m working fine, no more troubles. BTW I deleted the original wav after I bounced it, this operation also took time, almost 50 secs, that´s too much for a pentium with 2.6 ghz processor. Next time I´ll check if the enable looping function box is selected before working with an imported file.

Thanks for your support.

Weird.

Was it the one file that this was happening in or could you replicate it using a totally new, otherwise empty file?

If it was only the former and not the latter, then increasing the value of the PicCacheMB= variable in the AUD.INI file, up to something like 200 might make a difference. This will help Sonar display more waveform displays on screen which could have been your bottle-neck.

Q.

That could help me to solve another thing that bothes me......wait until all the wavs are displayed. Move this parameter is normal???, I mean there's another way to solve it???. Increasing ram or changing my video card (just 64mb ram) perhaps???

Thanks
Alfonso
