DR008 velosampler

I can't seem to remember for the life of me how to preview different velocities from within the DR008 (or if I was ever able to). For instance, if I import a Battery .kit file, I can clearly see all the different samples laid out by velocity within the DR008 velosampler editor, but how can I actually "sound" each of them out? I could of course program in a midi track which would sound each of them, but that seems to be an awful lot of work, especially if I'm doing an entire kit one piece at a time. Is there anyway to preview each individual sample/velocity layer from within DR008 itself?
 
you can click on the pad's (on each drum) from the left to the right...that way you can hear the different velocety levels...

Thanks! I was also told the same technique will work from with velosampler by right clicking, but I'm wondering if there's any way to *see* which velocity layer is being sounded. I mean, when dealing with 2-3 velocity layers to a pad, it's easy enough to tell, but not when there are 12+ velocity layers. There has to be a simple way of doing this :/
