DR-008 quit on me...

...and I can't seem to reinstall it from the Sonar XL 2 CD. It says it's installing it, but when I load Sonar, the DR-008 is completely gone. I've been using it successfully for about 9 months, so I'm not sure what I changed.

Any ideas?

Are you up to date on your patches?
I had the same problem with the VSC dxi awhile back but the patch fixed it.
Did you look to see if it appeared in the dxi instrument subfolder?
I'm assuming it does'nt show on the scrolldown menu inside the fx pane,is this the case?

exactly, it's not appearing anywhere. And that's after backing up projects, uninstalling and deleting all directories and rebooting. And I reinstalled progressively through the patches too. Strange. I gotta be overlooking something stupid. Maybe I'll figure it out in my sleep.

Problem solved. I think in a deluge of error messages I accidently disabled it. I managed to re-enable it the Plug-In Manager (which I rarely need to use). And it only took 5 1/2 hours of my recording time to figure out

If you're paying it union scale, it will quit on you from time to time. Consider giving the Edirol a slight pay cut, boost the DR-008's wages by 10% or so, and that should be the start of a wonderful working relationship. Just my 2 cents worth. Revalver gave me some shit once, and I fired it altogether! Damn DXi's !! Sheesh!!

Yeah, I was about to tell you to check and see if you disabled it in the plug-in manager thingy... first place to check...

What kits are you using with DR-008?

Drumkit From Hell pretty much exclusively since I got it in December. Some of the stock DR samples are alright, but I haven't become sick of DFH yet. You can get some nice results with DFH and DR with some attention to detail in the programming.
