Here's the scenerio: i'm running 2 seperate macs - (1) a beige g3 333mhz OS 9.2.2 Dp 2.72 w/ a 324pci/2408 (2) a beige g3 300mhz OS 8.6 w/ a korg oasys card. I have a BNC word cable daisy chained from the oasys to the 2408 to a line 6 pod pro. i would like to lightpipe from my dp session on the 333 to the oasys in the 300 & use the internal fx of the oasys/dsp/editer.
i have been able to lightpipe signal from the oasys to the 2408 w/ no clicks & pops. but' when i try to lightpipe from the 2408 to the oasys i get all kinds of clicks & pops. i have changed the clock source settings for both cards to literally everything available to no avail. I got a slightly (just very little crackles) by setting the basics on the 333 g3 running dp to 2408: Bank B optical which is where i have the oasys lightpiping to, but again being that there is still a slight crackle would be unexceptable in a mix.
Oh yeah by the way, it's not a matter of differing sample rates, the sample rates of both machines & cards are set to 44.1K.
Is there anyone out there using a similar setup & been getting clicks & pops too? any oasys forums anybody can suggest?
