I have used the DP-24 to burn CD-RW's successfully. The trouble is, I can't seem to successfully re-use them. I've done an erase using the DP-24 but it doesn't seem to work. I've even done an erase using Windows 7, which seems to work fine, but the DP-24 still won't use the erased CD. I get an error message, "No room on CD etc..." Has anybody had better success? Thanks - Bill

Considering the price of CD's these days, do you really need to use erasable discs?

But, to answer your question more specifically, I always had trouble with CD-RW's in my 2488. I think I also had more trouble with Maxell CD's than any other companies.
Actually it's just a case of a function that doesn't work, so that annoys me. I am using Memorex CR-RW's which seem to be the most unreliable CD's I've ever used. I'll give it a try with another brand - if I can find one. Staples seems to carry only 2 brands; Memorex and Staples (probably also made by Memorex).
