Thank you! It's a sample mixed with the original track. Both tracks were sent to a group and compressed together with CamelPhatFree. No EQ this time. It's mostly the sample you are hearing.

for some reason when i tried to render it from sony vegas 4 it was so loud and everything clipping and getting distorted however the main mixer never clipped once. wtf?? So i just had to record it into soundforge and boosted the volume as well as i could.

All i really did was compress, EQ, echo/delay, pan, volume and enhance.
Its not great at all but im new to mixing down.

Its well recorded btw. i like the tune.

I think the vox could be more in your face esp. in the beginning.. the screams sound pretty nice :D

I hate that I missed hearing some of the mixes other people posted, but here is my mix:

About A Girl

It is funny how we have taken the same song and mixed it to sound like different bands. Some have it like Korn and others Slipknot. I think my mix sounds more like Pantera (Walk). I think I could have squeezed some more volume out of my mix, but I did not want to kill the dynamics.
 
I went ahead and squeezed a little more volume out of my mix. Another 1.5 db and it would have been lifeless. Let me know if I killed it with this mastered version compared to my previous post.

Sounds pretty good. Maybe a bit dark though.

If you click on my studio link, and go to the MP3 Section, and listen to Beeatch, you can hear what I did for comparison.
