Flamingo!
Wrote this new tune.

Tried out some harmonies and liked how they turned out!

Thoughts?

Very very cool.
I've no idea what the words were, but I don't care. Totally enjoyed that. :)

Brave bit of hiss towards the end there....I'm sure you heard that though.
Nice one.

Thanks, Steen!

Yeah, I'll have to do some re-recording as I didn't pronounce my words clearly enough.

That hiss was intentional to be a hipster , but I think I'll get rid of it.

I don't know why, but the pronunciation thing wasn't criticism.
I guess it should be, but I just got an Eddie Vedder vibe from it; I never know what he's saying.

Love it Fritz. Really nice sound and great harmonies. Wish I could play guitar as well as you. :)

I love what you're doing with your voice on these last couple of tracks. I so wish I could hit notes like that. The heavy verb is nice for this too.

I'm hearing a little wavering of pitch on some of your lower notes again though, but better this time in that regard than the previous number.

The thin electric part that comes in towards the end surprised me. The tone sounded like something off a track by the Cure or something which was not expected in this setting, but I think it works.

Cool tune. Very atmospheric.

Thanks, Frits! Still working on those harmonies but I think these came out nicely. I'll try to implement them more.

Thanks, heat! I've shifted my direction once again; this time it's from that electronic stuff to this more earthy stuff. I had really only JUST found my falsetto. I couldn't sing a tune like this 3 months ago at all. So I've been using this as a method to practice it and come up with songs that I actually really like.

Very nice vocals indeed crow - the heavy verb works really well for me too and knits the harmonies together.

I might be tempted to dial it back a little on the main guitar part - the tail gets a bit too prominent and wet for me there. Very different to the last tune of yours I heard, but I like it :D

Thanks, man! I'll probably dial it back a little.

I thought this was pretty cool. Nice singing. I'm having trouble making out the words. But the voice and ambiance are nice. harmonies are beautiful.

What's that percussive sound that comes and goes? Get's a little distracting.

I might try to dry the vocal just a bit and wet the guitar just a bit. Get them closer together.

What time signature is this?

Thank, TripleM!

Now, you told me to wet the guitar and rob told me to dry it. I'll have to see what I like best.

As for the time signature, I have no idea. :D

I like the vocals, they grew on me. Reminds me a bit of Kate Bush.

I think you could extend it quite a bit. I wanted it to build more. Maybe add tambourine, and a distant recorder or bagpipe patch. It's too short to build up the tension that it could. Very nice, lots of good stuff.

Thanks for listening, DavidK!

It seems that you're an old member here but I haven't seen you around!

I took about 4 years off from recording to concentrate on doing orchestrations for symphonies. I just put up an mp3 on this page.

This is lovely,, it is short tho!,,, but as the saying goes "nice things come in small packages" :D

Thanks, jiff!

I've got some longer ones comin' up. Or I may just lengthen this as others have suggested.

I like it as is.... but I like DavidK's suggestion, too. It could really grow in Ravel's Bolero kind of way. I'd like to hear a little more of the percussion sounds.

Good harmonizing. Works well.

Thanks for sharing!!
