Hey all-
I didn't buy one, and am not planning on it, but am curious if anyone has used it and what the thing sounds like. It's streeting for about $100 and I've yet to find any reviews on it on the net. Maybe if it can create an off the wall sound, it would be a nice toy.

with respect chess i ve bought enough gear for myself and friends over the years to keep an open mind when something cheap and new comes.
ive paid big money for recording equipment that later i realised was junk and little money for the occassional gem. only way to know is to try it.
for a laugh i'll rent one and see if its any good if i get a chance.

I'm just curious myself. I have found literally nothing on the Net about this thing. It certainly falls in the low price category, but who knows...could be useful for a different vocal approach. Seems to be one of those "bells and whistles" things. :D

warble i always keep an open mind on gear.
i remember when people couldnt give away old shure mics until a rumour spread that a lot of old hits were done using them on vocals then everyone of my friends wanted one.
a lot of folks diss "B" gear , but ive heard great tracks done with it and also bad tracks.
im sure a top producer if its even half decent will be able to get good tracks.
i did a test once with some elite gear friends of mine for a laugh.
i set up a radio shack mixer i modded the electronics of and recorded a vocal track with it then did the same track through a high end console i had at the time. in blind tests some friends picked the radio s as the better sounding track ! so much for people who can tell a difference between cheap and expensive gear.

If you're looking for a compressor in the 100-dollar range that might make for an interesting texture, then I'd check out one of the ART Levelers. Not sure if they're made anymore, so you might have to hunt around on ebay. They're out there.

Right back at ya, War. You're right about the number of Warren's. By what I've seen from your posts, you bring a good reputation to the name Warren

Hey is Warble a nickname? I've been called Warren Peace, Warren G, Warren Zevon, Warhen, Warhead and a bunch of others. It seems to be a highly, uh, nicknamed name.

I use the C Control, and for what I needed it to do it works great. I track on a Tascam 2488, and then mix on the PC. I needed an inexpensive way to monitor 2 sources through 1 set of monitors. I couldn't justify the expense of the Presonus or Mackie units, so the Samson Unit fit the bill perfectly.

Don't let my signature fool you, I'm just a guy with some gear in his basement. :D
