Don't know much about maintenance

Otari 1/2 inch 8 track.

I spend time cleaning everything and the insides - but darn callibrating - i need help.

I'm going to end yp calling a pro if I can't get it together - any suggestions?

I'm fear something will break if i don't.

If you browse through the forums, there are dozens of posts that have step-by-step procedures for analog calibration. I hate to beat around the bush and re-post what's already been posted dozens of times, so search, and you shall find! "A Reel Person" has some good posts on the subject.

yeah I can do what it says in the manual - I'm just lazy I guess.


Thinking about calling in a pro just so I don't have to do it.

Any idea how much $ it would take to get a guy to travel say 100 miles - which is the closest I have found someone - and give it a work-up?
