 I use Sound Forge 6.0 to make audio voice tracks. The program often stops recording...sometimes within seconds...sometimes many minutes later, but eventually it stops with the last few words all chopped up and unintelligible. Neither Dell, SoundForge or LexiconOmega people know what the problem is...maybe buffer memory? Got any ideas, cuz it's making me nuts. Thanks. Don Wescott

What sound card and driver type are you using? What's your OS?

I'm sure Sonic Foundry, er I mean Sony already asked this, but are you in Punch-In mode? I'd think you'd want to have the record function set for Multiple Takes.

BTW, It's not SOP to name a thread after yourself. But it's no crime, either!

Sound Forge Recording Lock up

Hey, Mad Audio, thanks for you suggestions...I am in Multiple Takes...on a Dell 450 with Windows XP pro. I'm using a Lexicon Omega box to input the sound to the Dell. Never had this junk with 5.0. Don Wescott

Do you still have 5.0 installed? When I upgraded from 5 to 6, I kept 5 available in case there were problems with 6. Any reason not to go back to 5?

The Dell should be more than fast enough to handle what you're doing. The Omega's pretty new, isn't it? It may be they haven't worked out all the bugs.

Sorry, that's not much. But if I think of anything else, I'll post again.
