i plan on buying some monitors next to add to my setup and right now i own the Lexicon omega can i hook the monitors up to that ..it has line out L & R . by the way i will be using active monitors. or should i just buy the M-audio 24/96 sound card

You already have a soundcard. You don't need to buy another one. You can connect the active monitors directly to the L/R outs of the Lexicon.
