does the delta44 have a preamp?

do i need to buy preamps to use a delta 44 card or does it include them? i bought one a long time ago and never really tried using it after i got protools. i tried it today and i'm not getting any signals from my mics. any help is greatly appreciated!

Me too! It's a great little unit. Plug a great mic/pre combo into it and you're set!

you can get that unit to plug into it somehow - i don't know how it works/where it plugs in, but it has preamps.

personally, i don't understand the point. i'm sure there's much better Pre's out there for a similar price.
