Does Protools come mac/pc ready?

A friend of mine has offered to sell me his protools digi001 setup for around $400 because he is upgrading to the 002. My question is... he was running this on a PC and I will need to run it on a mac... is the software for both included or are there seperate 001s for mac and pc?. (he has everything that came with the original purchase)

I seem to recal my 001 came with software for BOTH, but you could only register one...

You will have to pay a transfer fee to Digidesign. I'm not sure how much it costs... I think it might be 25$ or something. Call them up and ask before you buy it.
