DOES MY SOLOING SUCK?

No, it doesn't Khomp...

And besides that: you're a wonderful being, you know how I feel about you... :)

I'm impressed and you know I should be. There really isn't much point in this thread because your a damn good guitarist and thats the end of the matter.

Ok sometimes Khompy doesn't have his juice in the morning and has a really really short fuse. :)

Sometimes the silly dutch boy is just a tad too silly for this board...

Nice to see us all back together aye. Anyone for some juice?

That's a cool tune Khompewtur. Like the phrasing / meter on the lyrics.

Guitar playing sucks, but.... j/k :D

Nice job.

no...but my jaw is still intact too. strange mix, if I may comment on that also. Seems low in the mids and the drums are kinda on the punchless side...but have a unique sound on there own, however. neat song... I liked it alot...as well the vocals. I was honestly expecting something like the next EVH with your post title, but I think it was up until the 2 minute mark that I even would describe what I heard as a solo. What you played was well executed, but nothing that will make people set their gtrs down and wanna quit playing. Kick the mix up a couple notches, and this'll be a real ass kicker though with its musical content.

Aha! mixmkr! I know you know your stuff, help me fix this. Should I boost the eq of a specific instrument? Do I apply something overall to all the tracks?

Should I apply like a light "master" type compression to every track for levels?

Bring up mids on guits and bass? Bring up lows on drums?

These questions are the ways i'd approach to trying to rectify what you noticed. If i'm going the wrong way ya gotta throw me a bone. I'd like ta buy a vowel.

In terms of the solo, yeah i agree it wasn't meant to be anything revolutionary, I wanted to hopefully just demonstrate I could be tasteful and play to enhance a song rather than take it over (long story). Anyway.. i definitely feel more Maddux than Clemens.

Nice playing here. You got a great groove going through this. I like metal that grooves. Great vocal part too. Interesting lines that are executed well - the high parts and the low.
One thing I think you can do to improve the mix is balance your cymbal sounds between the two speakers. I don't know if it's through levels or eq, but the cymbal presence in the left speaker feels really heavy. It sounds like you're using mostly ride, but even so, it feels a little unbalanced.

I have to say I'm not normally into Metal but I like this :)

it dont suck at all. It didnt sound very emotional either though, like I`ve heard before from you.
