thats cool
a happy family thing i guess....
pretty good i like it

Sound good considering the equipment used, good job :) . The mix as such works pretty well, but what about the bottom-end? I couldn't really make out the bass, and the kick sounded really wierd - I heard almost no punch/bass but only a rather low click. Perhaps a boost at about 3 kHz, a lo-mid cut and a push at about 80-100 Hz would make it more alive.
The overheads could be brought up a bit for a fuller sound.

i swear the recording sounds familiar....not the music...but the quality....
oh well....watever

u live in cal?

umm....yeah i agree wit ^^

The bass (when I can hear it!) seems out of tune with the guitar.

yeah the bass might be out of tune. i was tunning the bass real fast i was in a hurry lol

with recordings...take everything slow...tunings....checking sounds....yeah./...its trippyy

i agree with what has already been said ... kik sounds like pooh ... though a cool effect. I thought there were a bunch of midgets running through the recording session or something. hehe :p

Good work keep it up, you'll only get better.

here's an old live thing from 2001 I just mixed.

James. No Woman sounds flat to me. no Depth. Sounds like a very nice board mix. But not an involving studio mix. Recording sounds nice though. I dig classic blues. Love when i get down to Memphis and do a show I usually learn a lot from the engineers down there.

Eck. Not sure of what this style is, but IMO. I seems a bit small and earthy. but then that may have been the purpose. really cant comment on what I dont listen to much. :)

I agree it is "flat" sounding ... that is a live sound I personally like to keep honesty in "Blues" There isn't much in the mix at all, basically what you here is what was recorded. A true "live" set it and forget it.

Yeah but you are missing the ROOM as it were. When you listen to a Live performance the placement of the musicians, your position in the room and the reflections off the various surfaces all work together to give you that live feel. that is what this track is missing. IMO

Pretty cool mix. I must say, the snare sounds awesome. Kick is a little dopey sounding, but it's not too bad, and the ride/hats are kinda absent so yeah, turn up the overheads like rag said. The bass guitar is almost nonexistant, and if it had a real bass line I think it would really add something to the song. As far as record quality though, very nice for the most part. Keep up the goodness!
