does mackie make a good pre-amp?

are mackie pre-amps good? i was looking at a board by mackie and i've heard good things about them so i was wanting to know if mackie makes goo pre-amps?

They're not Neve's but can certainly be used if you watch the headroom......... I use an 8-buss and I can get a lot out of it.......... I've also heard contexts in which Mackie pres scored favourably against the "big boys" (Lynn Fuston's Mic and Mic Pre CD series of comparison tests).......... if you know what you're doing you can make them work for you........

No........not particularly....... does it matter? This is a RECORDING website, not a religious/ethics site......... bringing religious values into a non-religious discussion is just plain ridiculous....... as a matter of fact, to those that don't share your belief system, it's fucking annoying...........

Blue Bear is right, get off the topic of religion. People have different beliefs and you should not infrindge on their beliefs. On the other hand, Zeke is only 14. Take it easy on the kid.

I just love the way self-righteousness fails so miserably at masking it's intentions, time and time again. Of course, I'm not telling anyone anything about intolerance, pretense, or judgement... it just seems that way.
