Does it matter if Cubase is installed on a different Hard Drive than where my OS is?

Will it affect Cubase SX 3's performance if I have Cubase installed on a different hard drive than where my Windows Operating System is located?

Not really. It will probably be better to let it install on the system drive since other apps will look for VST plug in the defualt location. Just keep your projects on a separate drive

Actually, the location of the vst irectory should get written to the registry, so it really shouldn't matter what drive you install Cubase on.

At least I hope it doesn't matter, because I installed mine on a drive other than my OS drive :)

Thats true, but not all progs will look for that link and assume the location, lots of freeware ones are like this
