I just tried three of those tools; EQ, Compression, and Reverb. The EQ results are only subtle, the compression does nothing at all really. The Reverb is pretty good, lots of choices. I cranked up my monitors real loud and played with the compression, but could not tell any real difference at all, so it was hard to get a feel for what I am supposed to hear. The EQ results are very subtle, alot of movement of the sliders yielded only slight results.
