DOD Votec

Does anyone have the Votec? Or know anything about it?

Ive got one, and it gives off a strong hum when in use. The noise gate is a joke, like a CB radio, when sound comes thru it the hum still hits you...

Is this just what happens with this unit? With all multieffects? Or just mine (as in mine is f'd up)?

Should i just eBay this thing, and buy the few effects I need?

Just looking for some opinions, and/or solutions...

DOD isn't really known for great sound I say if you can get a decent price for it and you can afford a better unit, sell it and buy a cheap lexicon or at least an alesis.

Yeah, I have a VOtec. Sucks, the noise is awful. I have been able to use it a few times when that noise was desired - AND - I have been able to kill a little bit of the noise with an external gate, but I am still disappointed. I have been trying to think of a creative way to part ways with mine - it was a gift, so I have to watch out for someone's feelings.
