Fuck the free candy, I ain't a sugarholic - three strikes, yer out. The fourth strike for Sweet would be when I was talking to the rep about getting the price down to anywhere near what GC would do for me, and he kept on insisting that part of the price was the 'great support' that I would get in case I needed it... I was like, ok, look - I can service my own stuff, thanks -I been in the business for over 20 years! If I can't do the work, there's a great electronics repair here near me.

I did not get any candy on my last order/:mad:

Excluding returns I can't figure out WTF they mean by support. When I bought a Yamaha digital mixer I wanted to talk to someone about it but the two sales guys I talked to didn't know a thing about it and they could only talk about Pro Tools/:rolleyes:

They did know what a Neve was/:D

The latest batch of idiots at my local GC know absolutely NOTHING about recording....period. There is one guy who is older (and experienced with recording) but I haven't seen him for awhile.

No I don't trust them...but no more or less than any other store. They are generally kids and/or salesmen. You simply have to have a clue about what you are buying. In these days with the internet, at least it is easy to do some research before making any kind of purchase.
