Man, sometimes I get real itchy to have my fingers on the strings, the feeling has become part of me.
The pressure of the strings, the senation of the frets as you slide over them, the grasp of your hand on the back of the neck, it is like perfection, going to that special place only you can go.

Was that a racist remark?

Sir, I always CRAVE to play my guitar while being away from it for a few days. But simply because I'm black doesn't mean I "JONES" whatsoever. Gimme a break.

If I miss a day I go into withdrawal. I gotta have my daily guitar fix or I get real edgy.

Every day, at work, several times during the day, I wish I could sneak off and spend 5 or ten minutes with a guitar.

Oh man...yeah howdy. I've thought about cutting down a neck to say...3 inches long and stretching a couple strings over it so that I could hold it in my hand when I'm busy with other things. Kind of like a pacifier only for the hand. :D

A few months ago I brought an old crappy Applause acoustic to work and keep it in my office. I don't find much time to actually use it - but sometimes at lunchtime or at the end of the day when I'm waiting for a phone call, I grab it and play for awile.

Whenever I have down time at home, when I'm sitting in front of the tube (which I try to limit) or waiting for dinner, whatever, I always have a guitar in my hands. I'ts gotton to the point that I reach for the guitar without actually being aware that I reached for the guitar.

I have a ukulele on me pretty much all the time; it's helpul for those situations when you simply need to play.

please explain. i've been using that expression for a long time and never ever considered it racist. if it really is racist i'd like to know about it and why.

i doubt very seriously that capnkid had any racist intentions.

Hey, me too! Only I don't even need the strings, just the neck.

It's like ex-smoker's that still want to have a cig in their fingers.

It just doesn't feel right without one.

Testify, brother! Same here.

It seems I must spread some rep around before giving you more.

I guess they don't want your head to get too big.

Too late! :D

Really. And what kind of "work" to you do at this "job?" :D

I guess I'm just the opposite: Some times I feel every thing I play is so repetitious that I won't pick it up for a week. I will mess around with bass,
mandolin or piano/synths. Usually when I go back and play again I get
something fresh or creative out of it. I use to just go to a different type of
guitar or music ie: classical, acoustic, electric but just not playing seems to work best for me.

my work

my job ....... he he ... i have my dream job ..... realy ...... and some days i play guitar all day at work ....... or i will go to the local music stores and play guitar all day ............... and when i actualy do some work here it will always be w/ one of the 24 antique corvette's here .... somedays i will take one out for a while ...... just to make sure it can still smoke the tires in all gears ......... he he ........... aint i a stinker
