I have a job presently where I am surrounded by primary students who don't mind singing and laughing and silliness. A particular woman I work with tends to sing when she talks. Kind of like Mary Poppins. Especially when she sings 'Good morning' to you.
I wonder, as singers, are you comfortable to, or can you, sing a little ditty or hum a tune while you work? What do people think when you stretch your arms out operatically and greet them with a great baritoned 'Good morning.'?

When I had a job I loved to make up words to songs on the radio and be stupid. I had a lot of fun.

I "work" from my home so yes, I sing in the workplace :)

I hum along with whatever I'm listening to while I program.

It helps me focus but distracts and annoys my co-workers. :D

random parts of Evita used to freak out my workmates

(operatic) "did you hear that, he called me a whore... he actually called me a whore!

Its an easy mistake, Im called an admiral yet I gave up the sea long ago..."

I've sung Slayer lyrics to the Smurfs theme on numerous occasions. I get weird looks but most people I work with are used to my off sense of humor. In fact, the owner said I was a "weird bastard".

LOL!
:D

i used to but my workplace is lame and they don't like any goofyness going on:(

this is another reason for my repressed anger:) i write alot of songs directed at my workplace

i work in a bar as a singing waiter,,so i do sing at my workplace.. :)

Being a delivery driver, I have a roving commission so yeah, I sing in the workplace, write songs in the workplace.........and rarely am I heard. Thankfully.

I sing all the time. People from a distance think I'm talking to myself, and the ones that can hear me think I'm odd, or nuts. I don't care. I love music, and it's usually playing in my head....so I sing it out loud. Also helps keep the voice in "shape".
