do i need the motu 2408 wave driver when running SX

Hi,
Have a motu 2408 and the wave driver isn't installing but the asio driver is. Do I need the wave driver to record analog thru the 2408 into SX. I presume I do but thought I'd ask just the same.

I think ASIO is enough for Cubase. I could be wrong though. I would say try it...does it work?
