Hey, im looking to get a set of krk RP8's, i've read around and apparently i need an audio interface or something along the lines of it. Can i use a axe fx 2 as the interface or do i have to by a separate interface ?

Cheers.

Seems that you could use Axe as you audio interface (at least thats what they say on their homepage).

Are you just recording guitar or do you need any microphones. The Axe FX2 doesn't appear to offer any microphone inputs.

Then you should be okay, at least until you expand into recording with mics etc.

Right from their webpage:

Computer Integration with Onboard USB
The Axe-Fx II has a host of USB connectivity features. Connected to your Mac or PC, it becomes a 2x4 Audio Interface with 1x1 high speed MIDI. This allows you to record the main processed outputs and simultaneously capture a "dry" track for re-amping later. You can also monitor or process computer audio tracks with the Axe-Fx II. 1x1 high speed MIDI-over-USB eliminates the need for a separate MIDI interface and makes editing with Axe-Edit, our free editor librarian software easier than ever before..
