DMP2, Audio Buddy or Behringer802?

Which one is the best for me. Acoustic Guitar and vocals through a SP B1 and Shure sm58 into SBLive (for now) and Sonar 2.0XL??

Is the DMP2 much lower quality than the DMP3???

If I got one of the M pre's, would the sliders and EQ on Sonar make up for not having them, compared to those level control options on the Behringer??? Thanks BJ

I tried to edit my subject heading but ut didn't work. NOT a DMP3 as a choice......a DMP2.....Thanks again........BJ

the DMP2 and the DMP3 sound pretty much the same to me.....the thing about the DMP2 is you really NEED an in-line pad on the input, but thats no biggie......the sound of the pres is pretty close to Mackie pres......the DMP3 also has those nice, pretty meters, which is also no big loss....

as far as the EQ on the Behringer, you probably wouldnt want to use it anyway.....it suks.....

Thanks alot Gidge, but what it an "in-line pad" for the inputs and what does it do?? Just running a SP B1 and sm58 into my comp.......Is it gonna cost me a lot?? Thanks

it will knock down the signal of the microphone by a certain preset db amount......alot of the time with real hot mics, you will get clipping and youve barely even turned up the gain...the pad will reduce the mic signal allow you to use more of the preamps gain.....that was the worse technical explaination you can get:D

you could get a pair of Whirlwind IMP pads for $25....

probably either the 20 or 30 db would work......
