Where is the least expensive place to pick up a DMP 3 Pre-amp?

I have checked alot of places and the best deal I can find is at B&H Photo/ Video...172.50
 
Some people have been able to haggle GC down to $119.
 
Maybe I need to hone my haggling skills cause I tried to do just that.
I tried 4 different GC's and at each place they played hardball and stuck to their 199.00 price.

I have a marshall 603 that I can't use til I get the pre w/phantom power.

If I buy one from them, it will probably go on sale directly afterwords.

Such is life in the "New Gear World"
 
B&H Photo/ Video would be the last place I would go. Way overpriced

That's probably because they're on commission, and if they cut you a deal for no reason at all, they lose money.

Why should they cut you slack, unless you've spent a lot of money with a certain salesman?
 
email 8thstreet music. They are usual very good to deal with. I send them emails all the time asking how low can they go on certain products.

That's why I think it's crazy when people quote $119 as the price. Gidge is especially guilty of quoting, crazy, once in a lifetime prices as the price, without even qualifying it.

I was able to verify the $119 as well as countless other people have posted that they have gotten it......

now if you have any other examples of prices Ive quoted that are not correct then feel free to link me.......because quite frankly, one thing Im good at is finding bargains.......and Im VERY happy to pass them on......and Im very happy when others pass it on to me........

now give me a link to what you are talking about because your post is really pissing me off.......
 
Gidges links to gear bargains are great and mostly spot on. I don't know where you are coming from, cominginsecond, but you are off the mark here.
 
i got one for $119 about three weeks ago. i didn't even haggle. it was the posted price on the unit at GC in Brea CA. if you think i'm crazy just call pro audio and they'll tell you the truth about the DMP 3.

I guess I don't have time to find all the times you've done this. The $119 DMP3 is the most blatant example. A few people were able to get this price and so, in Gidge's mind, the "price" of a DMP3 automatically became $119. A few others on this board do the same thing, and it's just a pet peeve of mine. It doesn't make you an evil person or anything, I'm just saying it's a little annoying, especially if you're the guy who can't, for the life of him, find out where to get a DMP3 for $119.

Nothing personal, Gidge. You seem like a nice guy, but I calls 'em likes I sees 'em.
