Are either of these modules capable of supporting "the Drumkit From Hell" sample cd? Ya know can I use these samples with these modules and triggers? Or do I have to get some sort of midi interface to put between either module and the computer?

You can use one or the other, they both will work.
As I've stated before, you need a software sampler and a midi interface such as a soundcard with midi interface and a recording program with midi capability.

Do you still not get it ?
 
Would my digi-001 "breakoutbox" which is connected to my PCI(sound)card count as a midi interface? It has midi in and out on the back. Then all I am missing is the softwear sampler.

I know that this whole midi setup thing is a tough question...heck I go to my local music store(large store) and they cant even give me a strait answer...everybody gets this blank look in their eyes and starts mumbling nonsense..."Oh lets try and set ya up like this...blah blah blah...Oh no Wait!...how about this???" I even asked them to sell me what I need (Which is instant death in a music store!). Nothing...I come out with a list of crap I know I dont need....
 
Yeah, the digi 001 is perfectly capable. You would just need the Sampler. I dont know how PT is with software samplers, that is, do they only use native plugs or any VST's. If it lets you use VST plug-in instrument samplers, then battery, halion, drumagog or several other will work. We need a PT user to answer this.
