Just listened to this record (doesn't come out officially for another two days) and it's freakin incredible. Don't know what you all think about the dude, but you best check it, it's pure motivation in CD form!!!!

I first remeber Shadow from ...

The first Mo Wax Records Comp . and a single he put out "What "

So that means you're gonna go and get his new cd right???? You should, and his first one too, which imo is epic. I'm seein him on Sunday, damn I can't wait. Seattle is actually picking up, saw Spooky last week, seein Beach Boys in July, Moby Area 2 (Bowie, Tiesto, Oakey, Digweeed, ooo, aaaa) the list goes on.......Summa lovin.........

Just picked it up yesterday - very cool. I'm not familiar with his other stuff, but I've been hearing good things about this disc from sources I trust, and I wasn't let down.

He does start to loose me at times on tracks 3, 9 and 10, laying on a bit to much scritchity scratchity techno cheese, but it recovers. One of the reviews I read in the SF Weekly seems to indicate that his older stuff is more like these tracks, so maybe that's why I never had occasion to hear him before?

Anyhow, it's a good disc. Thanks for heads up Laj.

He's also playing in SF next Tuesday. THE FILLMORE... wow, the big time. Maybe I'll go see.

Hey Barefoot,

Yeah I agree with you in regards to those few tracks, I just think he, like many guys in similar setups, feels the need to 'prove' his musicianship with sweat, if you know what I mean, and I think the results are subpar relative to the other stuff. Definitely get "Entrouducing" his last one, that one is a pure concept album, holds a depp, dark musky feel all the way through, really cool stuff and prolly more to your (and mine:)) liking than some of "PP." Glad you dig him though man, we should exchange a list sometime of our fifty top albums/artists as I think we could provide some new/cool results for eachother, hit me up!
