When I spin at parties I play mostly cds (purists, please dont bash me) since they're much cheaper than wax is (practically free), and my cd collection is much bigger than my vinyl collection... I been just hooking up two portable cd players to my mixer, but theyre slow, one doesnt read cd-rs too well, and have no effects...
Can anyone recommend any particular, relatively inexpensive (not looking to spend any more than $400 for the pair), reliable units, manufacturers, and explain the features these things have? I know I need something with high variable pitch control (does the pitch remain the same on these when changing speed?).. need to decide which features I'd need/like to have and if theyre worth paying for.
Also I know there are small cases made for these.. my mixer now is aight.. but I'd like to have one with a cue fader and EQ knobs.. are there any mixers with these features that'll fit in a case made for cd decks?
Thanks
