That's another good idea.

I used some square metal tubing that I got in the shelving aisle at Home Depot, along with the matching brackets to support it. That's what's going from side-to-side to support the weight of all the guitars. The dividers between each guitar is 1/2" wooden dowel rod that was cut to fit, with 1/2" rubber hose (like you get at the auto parts store) cut and wrapped around each dowel rod. I drilled a hole in the center of each end of the dowel rod and in the proper spot on the metal tubing and screwed each one in. The stuff wrapped around the metal tubing is foam pipe insulation. It's very durable, yet soft enough to cushion your guitars as they each rest in their respective slot.
