Hello everyone. I have been just starting to learn recording. I jam alone most of the time and use a looper to play along with. I recorded this with a single condenser mic located about 2 feet away from a Fender Deville Amp tamed down as much as I could contain the beast. It is sort of like recording live I guess since I cant separate out any of the tracks. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to make it sound as good as possible given the situation.

Both of these tunes were recorded the same way.

Thanks in advance.

It's doesn't sound bad, but it gets old quick because it's just repetitive and there isn't anything really going on. Finish the song :D

Yup... Sounds like a recorded mono guitar played to a canned beat. I'd be half-tempted to put some real drums to it.... Got a pretty solid groove down, now ya just gotta do something with it.

The guitar sound really wasn't too bad. Nothing irritating about it. Keep at it!

This is exactly how I start writing all of my songs. You just need to start the next step, and the ten after that until you have a good song. This is your "A" part, find a "B" part and put them together, vocals and a good hook, bam money man.
