Hi everyone!
I've been a singer/songwriter for 10 years or more and I am looking to get into home recording. I found this great BBS and I hope to get some advice from you more experienced people.
I want to use my PC (leaning strongly toward Home Studio 2004 XL). I want to be able to record the music all on my own or with my full band. I figure I'll need 5 tracks to record the full band "live" so to speak. (btw, the drums are Roland V-Drums, so I only need 1 input for that)
Can you offer any suggestions on what kind of rig I should shoot for? I'm planning on a $400-500 budget.
I know I need a 24bit sound card, a good preamp/mixer, and some nice software (HS2004XL for its MIDI/Sequencer stuff).
What am I missing?
