Display Monitor Noise

I put my computer in the hall outside my room because of all the noise it was making. Now I noticed that my LCD monitor was making a slight buzzing sound. It is high pitched and subtle like a dog whistle. I suppose I never noticed it before with all the computer fans covering it up.

It's an NEC 1860NX. Are they supposed to do this or could it be a fault with the monitor? I tried other cables and same thing.

I hung a sweater behind it. Seems to be doing something for the moment.
 
Well, certainly not loud to that extent.

Due to already delicate nature of LCD, if you picture is not in any way diminished,I guess you could work fine.

I would though make visit to your dealer/shop and let them see/hear this.

I don’t remember even earlier generation of LCD that made such distinctive sound you are referring,provided LCD is really the one that is generating that noise.
