Hi folks,

a very spontaneous outburst : using a Bambooflute in Bb minor pent,
G#, D# -drone, a bit non- programmed drums and you got da Ethno-Blues:D

I don't think I've ever heard of bending a note on a flute.....but you're doing it. 1:43 of cool playing, mix sounds great - very dynamic and tasty......

:D:):D:)

Pent scales are SOOOOOO good to play with for someone like me - almost no wrong that can't be righted. In your hands it sounds fabbo.

I am only familiar with cheap "Renaissance flutes" - basically a piece of bamboo or similar with holes drilled in it. But since they are diatonic, you can't reach certain notes with out "bending." On that type of flute, it's achieved by half covering a particular hole with your finger. (which, for me is, for the most part, impossible) I imagine the same sorta thing is possible on a real flute, particularly if done by a real flautist.

Hi, thank you for the feedbacks.
Yes true, pentatonic scales are a good thing,
they can express so much, depending on the background chords you use.
In case of flutes i have "free hands", cause as a flutemaker a few things have become possible.

cheers,
Alf

thanks.

no midi-controller, it is common distortion, very simple.
The sliding is done with opening and closing the holes slowly

Great flute sound. The drone's well done and adds a lot.

The percussion sounds like a loop through much of it. A little more variety of rhythmic figures and articulation in the perc tracks - just enough to match the live performance feel of the flute - would add a lot.
