hey, this is my first recording time. does anyone know a microfon that can record strait to my computer memory? i dont hwve muny tro buy that expesive mike cable and soundplaster. police help!?))))

any microphone can record into your computer if you have the right software to record onto, and a mic input in the computer. What are you recording? There are also usb mics available now though i have never used one, im not sure what you mean by expensive mike cable and soundplaster, (maybe soundblaster) but the mic is gonna well out weigh the cost of the cable if you are only looking for a cheap recording. I mean it would seem pointless to buy a cheap crap mike and really good cable! If this is a wind up on the otherhand well done!!

just a thought, this is a wind up....you sound engineers with your crazy ways, crack me up everytime :D

butt i already have 32 megabits of memry. i cannot afford puersuit another softwire...

hahhahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahxinfinity

Any mic will do that! Just get some bare copper wire and solder it to the leads on the mic and plug those wires into an AC outlet. Most people don't know about this trick, but once you do that your microphone will show up on your network connections! It's totally awesome, and there is no pesky pre-amp or a/d convertor in the chain to ruin the sound. It's TOTALLY PURE AC warmth.

Hey, I don't know why you guys are laughing at him, he obviously needs our professional advice!
Ok, foreverain4, here's what you will need to do:
1. Buy a single used stereo speaker from Goodwill for about $1 (buy 2 if you want stereo)
2. Rip the cloth off the front and place at mouth-level. This is now your microphone.
3. Strip a box of twist-ties down to the wire (about 200) and join them into 2 long chains of home-made cable.
4. Does your computer have a soundcard? No? Perfect! Run the wires directly into the back of your computer's CD-ROM. You're going to want to make sure you have a fairly fast CD-ROM, anything under 4x Read is considered unprofessional.
5. Go onto the "web" and find any of the many freeware programs which will allow you to turn a CD-ROM into a virtual CD-RW and convert the speaker/twist-tie signal into digital audio. I have used many of them and they are all excellent.
6. Press record and play on your computer....
7. Voila! You have a perfect home studio for about $1.50 ($2.50 for stereo) that will rival any of the top-name studios! Don't listen to these guys on here that say "oh, you need a sound card" or "oh, you need electricity" to run your computer!
Hope this helps! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ;)

NO, NO, NO...you've got it all wrong....jeez you newbies....

You have to put the mic itself in a tube to get the tube sound. I like to use a 6" diameter PVC pipe and sing into the end of it from about 9 feet away. It creates a really warm, creamy, milky smooth sound.

thanks guys. i will try thees things you have givin. whut shood i do about explosives in my mouth. do i need a poop filler?

Yes, you need some lager. That will make this whole process seem much easier....or harder....depending on how you hold your lager.

If you have explosives in your mouth, more than likely you have already shit your pants so they will naturally act as a filter, preventing it from getting all over the floor.

hoky juan moor quest.

i have mike taped to my guitar, goin in tube like you say. butt have no sound still. do i need a tubefire to apply the sound? i already check my harddrive. the hed was not touching, so i push it down. now i can see hed make track on disk, but can no play backkk?

man I took awhile for me to stop laughing after reading this....

I would just get a usb mic and get a usb to soundsplater conversion cable. We got to keep things soundsplatter compatible these days.

Sounds like you need a hotter signal. Set the tube on fire...that should work.

I love it. This character makes the Walters character sound like he actually made sense. :D (Biscuit, this is a fake thread.)

Forever, you have to do a few things:

First, you have to remove the explosives from your pie hole to make room for your foot.

Second, you have to take the head on your hard drive and move it back and forth reeeeal fast so that you're inscribing a copy of the waveform you want to hear onto the surface of the hard drive. It's just like a record player, except the grooves have to be back and forth instead of up and down.

Third, to get that tube sound, you have to stick a tube in your ear (preferably a Russian-made 12AX7, though for us old-timers, a 6L6 will reeally give that vintage radio sound). Stand on a metal plate with a high voltage potential and wait for the tube in your ear to light up like a bulb in Uncle Fester's mouth. Then start singing and scratching your hard drive head back and forth. (NOTE: for a stereo effect, stick a tube in both ears.)

HTH,

G.

Being serious, i'mm curious of the effect. I may try that one.
