Hey people, the song is called "Close Your Eyes"

I've recieved wonderful advice in the past (and tried to give some). Would you be so kind as to let me have it on this song.

I need help on the mix. It is a handfull for me. I had two friends lay down the electic lead gits and the bass track. I also would like any feedback on the song itself i.e. lyrics, arrangment, performance, likeability and such.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Cool song!

I am sure others will be here to give the usual great advice, but one thing I that it seems to me is that the sound is too heavily panned to one side.........primarily during the verses.

when the song kicks in..the fidelity goes up a notch. I'm not sure if this song is trying to break into "Long Tall Texan" or not:D Nice wild cowboy leads! I liked the song, but I must say after about 3:30, I was having enough of the drums. I was ready to hear more of the space cowboy leads....which the last 2:00 appears to be... some lead notes seem overbent...maybe a bit out of tune. Nice riffing, in general, however. The leads are good, but lack a *direction*...almost like it was a jam. Interesting song. the vocals fit the song well and are sung good too.

Nutdotnet.
thanks for the listen. I'll check the stereo balance.

The guitar fills in the song were pre-arranged. I had a couple friends have some fun cutting them. The end solos were impovised as the "taped rolled" and we decided we liked the weird yet energenic result.

It is mostly a folkish rock song. After I layed down the git rythme and vox, My friend came along and kinda went a heavier direction with his contributions of git and bass. I like the overall result. I know the mix needs help though.

Thanks for your time dude.

Theron.
