Dimarzios in a Les Paul?

P'ups are the single biggest X factor in all of guitardom. Probably the best thing to do is go with the rep's recomendation, but the only way you will ever know if you like them or not is to put them in your guitar. Kinda stinks....

Before you go and spend the bucks on new p'ups, you could tey getting an EQ pedel. that way you know a little more about the curve you're looking for.

I used to own a les paul with dimers in it, they kind of mellowed the tone a little but still sounded fine to me, I was into monster power amps and playing too loud at the time so it was actually to my advantage . Depends a lot on your playing style and if you want a mellow or crisp sound.

Which pups were they? I have a PAF Pro in a Strat and love it. It has the cool open vowel-like sound and is very clear with distortion. I don't know if a pup with that much midrange would sound good and have enough bite in a Les Paul though.
