Hey, y'all.
A few days ago I installed a "Digitech Studio Vocalist" harmonizer for my bedroom studio setup. I had been using a TC Helicon that worked great for several years until it started displaying only partial setup menus and then totally gobbledygook, like "zzzzwwwwgssshhh". I used the new one today recording on my BR-1200. Granted that was my maiden voyage with a new song that my cowriter and I just finished, but I thought the quality was sub-par and I had to keep it even more in the background than usual as a result. I used the scalic mode so I wouldn't have to baby sit it during the chord changes. I feel like I need some advice on the setup for it. And it doesn't seem to have a mode for blocking the dry vocal in the output. ???
I've tried looking for a "Tips and Tricks" article for this particular version of Digitech harmonizer to no avail. Any suggestions that would lead to a more acceptable output would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much.
