I have a Yamaha AW4416 with Digital in/outs on the rear panel. My owner's manual says the cable is a digital coax cable compatible with the IEC958 format. I went to radio shack and purchased a digital audio PCM RCA cable. Needless to say it didn't work. I don't know which cable to buy. What is a digital stereo cable? We're using it to run to an external Tascam CD burner w/ digital in's. Thanks for the help!!

make sure you have everything set to the same bit depth and sample rate. One device will have to be set as the slave and will get it's clock info from the SPDIF inputs. Check both your manuals and make sure you have everything setup correctly.
