Hi guys,
I don't know if anyone can or will help on this but can't hurt to ask.
I have a voice activated digital recorder that has a conversation on it that I need. It has the sound of the vehicle and road noise on it. In the background you can hear a voice but it is not clear enough to understand what is being said. Is there anyway to record it to computer and remove the unwanted noise and if so will someone please tell me how. If not is there any place that I can take it to have the noise removed that won't cost arms and legs?
Thanks,
Jude

perhaps download a free trial version of cool edit or sound forge that allow you to save work. You can probably Eq it or apply some filters to hear it better. Or maybe upload to a member here that can help.

Doesn't sound like it would be a big job, so it probably wouldn't be an expensive restoration.... (impossible to tell without actually hearing it though...)

If you send me a clip, I can give you an estimate....

download

Can't get my file to download. I've saved it as a zip file. Otherwise it is a wave file. As you can tell I don't know that much about computers and files.
I will keep trying. Thanks for replies.

You can download GoldWave for free. It has some noise reduction tools in it. the free version is fully functional and is east to use
