R Rarebird New member Feb 26, 2003 #2 The Fostex doesn't record at 24 bit. The Korg only allows 6 track playback at 24 bit. The Tascam allows 8 track playback at 24 bit. If 24 bit vs. 16 bit is important to you I would choose the Tascam. I own the Tascam 788 and I'm very pleased with it. Another Tascam advantage is their 788 Digital Portastudio forum.
