OK, so once again I find myself fighting the logic of why anyone would purchase a MAC.
The current issue is that I have a Mac setup with Digital Performer and a Yamaha Motif ES8. I am using the MOTU FastLane USB/MIDI interface. I have successfully been able to record a MIDI track once. Since then, any time I try to enable a MIDI track for record, DP tells me enabling the track would create a playback loop.
I have disable playback of the track, but that does me no good. I think with enough fighting this one, I may get it.
The second issue is using the Mac laptop. I cannot get the laptop to run the MIDI configuration tool to set the FastLane as an input device.
