Digital Performer 7

I am looking to get Digital Performer 7 for my studio, as i need a more powerful mastering and music creator DAW. I just wanted to see if this is just as good as pro tools and or is it better than pro tools? I wanted to see if professionals also use this in there studios?

When I was shopping for recording software I demo'd about 6 or 7 different packages. I eventually figured out that they were all similar in a general way. That is, they all were adequate to record, edit, and mix audio. Some had a few more bells and whistles than others. Some seemed simpler to learn than others. But they were all good and they were all powerful.

It is a little like shopping for a car, in that...your reason for choosing one may differ from my reason for choosing one.
