My Audiophile 2496 SPDIF/MIDI attachment has connection issues so I'm wondering what would be best for output to my monitors. I've got Digital and analog in's on my monitors.

Should I use my ASUS P4P800 onboard digital out or simply use the 2496 analog out's?

Or is there really no difference?

As long as it sounds good, I could see the advantages of having your monitor out from the built-in S/PDIF instead of the card...

At the very least I'm going to cut down from 2 RCA cables to 1 coaxial.
I'm gonna give it a shot,

Thanks.

How will you adjust the volume with the digital connection? Remember the master fader in your software will affect the mixdown level.

The M-Audio Delta Control Panel can be used to adjust the monitoring levels.

Etnoziroh - Which monitors are you using?

I'm using Roland DM-10's.

I'm sticking with analog for now, Cakewalk HS only gives me the audiophile's out's with ASIO.

thanks anyway guys :D
